Fighting Weight!

After a period of weight “stall”, I am once again gaining weight.  Special thanks to my neighbors and friends who hosted Lee and I the last couple of evenings for anniversary feasts, you pushed me into the “170 Zone”!  Woo Hoo!!

Twenty-two pound weight gain since surgery, but who’s counting?  Five more pounds for my ideal weight!

  1. going to the gym should help you gain too. muscle is heavier than fat. people can lose inches and gain weight. not saying that exercising is as much fun as eating. guess I’m saying both are good.

  3. i enjoy your postings and how you keep up your spirits. I too am celebrating the fact that I have stopped loosing weight. Thanks to two helpings of boost a day. I am holding my own. I have just heard that my son Mike has been diagnosed with cancer in the stomach and brain. Such a shock. I feel that I have been hit over the head, and cant take it in yet. — We can only pray. –Original Message—–

    1. I’m so sorry to hear about your son. I will keep him in my thoughts, us cancer survivors need to stick together. I also drink two ensures each day, plus eat everything I can as well as exercising in my effort to regain my lost weight

  4. Yeah!! Hi Lee and Jim, Well, another day of rain. It has rained every day since I have been here. There have only been 2 days in May where there was not rain! Unbelievable. I am waiting for my sister as we are going to some friends house to play cards. I hope they have their furnace on. It is 54 and damp outside. Even the dog won’t go out! I know this will be a busy week with Chemo starting. Do you know if it is going to be a continuous infusion? I know all the waiting is frustrating and you are anxious to get the show on the road. I will stay in touch and be home Saturday. We are there for whatever you need! Love you two, Patti Sent from my iPad

    1. The weather sounds like the Pacific NW in November. Yuk. I’m really not anxious for chemo to start. I really just want it to go away like a bad dream. But I’m afraid it’s here to stay, so might as well get on with it. I will have a pump for 46 a hour infusion as part of the regimen. I’ll know more after my appointment with Dr P on Tuesday. Thanks

  5. Please consider us a neighbor even though Steve just told me we are a mile away (doesn’t seem possible) if we can do anything. We are rooting for you. Go Ducks!

  6. That is wonderful! Carolyn and Bob’s wonderful dinner on your anniversary dinner certainly helped contribute to that, I’m sure. Keep the numbers climbing up for as long as you can.
